Likely very woke — yet the organization that helps oversee medical schools thinks it’s not woke enough.
So says the Association of American Medical Colleges, which last week released the first-ever analysis of the extent to which “diversity, equity and inclusion” have infected the institutions training future physicians. I’ve covered this trend for years, but even I didn’t realize just how much patients should worry about the decline in standards and, in time, the quality of their own care.
The AAMC surveyed 101 institutions, representing almost two-thirds of American medical schools (two are in Canada), asking for audits of their DEI-related policies and programs. While the AAMC doesn’t appear to have released a list of participating schools, my organization discovered the audits’ existence in October, when Ohio State University included the document prepared by its College of Medicine in response to our freedom of information request.
The AAMC asked medical schools to answer 89 yes-or-no questions on whether they have specific DEI activities. The results are shown as a kind of report card. Schools that score 80% are colored green, and those that score between 61% and 80% are yellow. Institutions below the 60% threshold are red — a sign of failure.
Medical schools should fear a failing grade from the AAMC, which helps determine whether they get accredited. As a former associate dean, I can attest that when the AAMC sets priorities, administrators rush to follow them.
All told, more than six out of 10 medical schools scored 80%. The Ohio State University College of Medicine audit shows a score of 93%, making it one of the most woke medical schools in America. Crucially, no institution scored lower than 50% — meaning virtually every medical school is implementing at least half the policies woke activists want.

My wife needed an out patient test, in hospital setting.
They got her to sign papers without letting her read what she was signing. We asked for copies (iow to take photo using my phone) they said we had to wait until after Dr signed them. Then they all said NO. Told me to go to records to get copy. I made a stink and they called Security.
So I think this fits the description of COERCION. Big time illegal.
This was ten days ago and still no copy of what she had to sign. They go to hell if they think we will pay the bill.
And of all places, Advent Health, that plasters memes on the walls of Christ with ‘sayings’. Outfit with no morals.
I guess now the only rational way of picking a physician that is truly at a high level of competence is to pick a white male doctor who speaks English because necessarily, under current DEI med school admissions restrictions against them, they would have had to been extremely academically at the top of the vegetable chain to get admitted to med school over the DEI mediocrities

I have not been to a doctor since 2019. A-holes spent a shitload of my money, never were able to figure what was wrong with me, and tried to get on some pancreas medication that I would have had to take the rest of my life.

I’ve seen recently where hospitals are contracted with out of network doctors and the patient pays the bill. The hospital benefits twice from the charges not allowed by insurance. Would bet this is why what was signed was not allowed to be read and why no copy was issued of the signed papers
Age will be a more important litmus test. The older, the better. Young white male doctors will be among the most ferociously woke, to prove to their diverse peers that they belong, that they are aligned against their own identity.

I’m sure it happens more than we know. There were plenty of stories about covid treatments that did more harm than good and family members not being involved the decision making process. Remdesivir + ventilator = death most of the time but they kept doing it.
I’ve had a raspy voice and throat the last few days so I hadn’t taken ivermectin in weeks. So yesterday, I took a small amount of iv. and a vitamin d3 with it. Three hours later I was having lots of stomach pains. I have GI issues. Does iv. or d3 tend to constipate one. Seemingly better today.
