The Polish president said it was manufactured in Russia in the 1970s. If correct, that would make it the earliest version of the S300 before its little problems were fixed in newer versions. One wonders what exactly went wrong.

Or I would have guessed the handlr 'MercyFlush' (which has been strangely missing from the list of usual suspects lately), who back in the July timeframe was fine with a nuclear exchange as long as Russia was wiped out.

The Russians no longer produce that type S-300 nor is it fielded anymore by the Russians.
The Russians have a newer more modernized version of the S-300 that they field along with the S-400 systems.
Not defending. It was a Ukrainian S-300, its just moronic to say that they launched it on purpose at a Polish potato field.
