If climate sensitivity to CO2 doubling was as high as they claim, the earth would have suffered from a runaway greenhouse effect a long time ago.

Precisely.

The risk of another ice age is a much greater existential threat than the catastrophic global warming predicted by the so called climate change community.

Agree completely. Even the "Little Ice Age" was very difficult and another would be difficult. The reason the highest yields for many crops are in AZ and the hot interior valleys of California is that most crops do better or well enough in heat and appreciate precise watering and full sun. A few like hops do poorly in heat. But very few crops can survive summer freezes.

Good point, and the added CO2 is more plant food, resulting in larger crop yields.

The LIA (1300 - 1800), bringing sickness and suffering, the Great Famine of 1315 and Black Plague of 1348, more plagues in the 1500s, the Black Death of 1665 and subsequent Great Fire of London (1666). “Bring out your dead (klank) …” [1]

This extended cool spell overlapped with a period of extreme solar inactivity known as the Maunder Minimum (1645-1715). The River Thames used to freeze over every winter and ice skating was in. BTW, the Thames froze over in Feb. 2021, the first time in 60 years. Must be global warming.
