That reasonably appears to be the case.
When younger, we were told that a WWIII would pose a serious existential threat our country. It would appear someone has figured out a better course of action and they are proceeding forthwith without opposition.
The pasted is history. Thus let that be a route to change
and move on. Define what needs to be done for the future.
