What this proves is that people voted with the feet before they voted in the ballot box.
Many red voters in blue states and blue districts already moved to red states or red districts, which makes it harder to turn those blues red, they just make the red one redder.
Which means as a country we are starting to seriously divide by geography.

i struggle to believe this. It seems to me that A large proportion of blue state red voters are tied to a location by job, real estate, relatives, and so on, and therefore cannot easily move to a red state just for politics. i might be missing something.
