Trump has a bit of a point because many republicans stayed home if a candidate was not true conservative enough for them. I can’t answer how that would have changed the general election but for example I heard people today saying they know lots of republicans who did not vote in Pennsylvania.
In my mind a Republican who did not vote for the party in this election was just as bad as any other bad actor I can think of.

That may be true in Pennsylvania. It wasn’t true in New Hampshire. Bolduc was about as conservative as the state could go.

Anyone who stays home is also responsible for the democrat pick up.

Not voting does not absolve you of responsibility for the outcome.

After having lived in NYS for so many decades, you learn that sometimes you have to do the lesser of two evils vote and hold your nose when you pull the lever.

Sometimes there is no better choice in candidates. That’s just the way it is.

But staying home and not voting doesn’t make a point or “prove” anything, or send any kind of message other than that you just don’t care.
