A very long time ago, I was a contractor for a Federal agency, and part of my job was to pick up my organization’s mail from the agency mailroom every day. At the time, the Unabomber was active. I got to attend a class on suspicious packages. I hope that the staffers for Lake’s campaign have gotten a similar class, although I doubt it.
RE: Unabomber package threat.
I was at a university library those years. One thing a library received a lot of was packages. Books, magazines, government documents and regular mail. Incoming, then sorted, then general area, then actual offices.
Plus he specialized in university professors as targets.
Glad his brother turned him in. And you were safe, too.
The staffer finds a white powder in one envelope, then opens a second envelope that appears identical to the first? I conclude they have not had much training.
