Salute
Another hero goes to be with his comrades.
Goodbye, Mr. Edward Hall.
Thank you for your service!
Yours was a very different America compared to what we now live in. Different in almost every way.
Why do we have to hear about this from the UK? Where is the American press?
At the bathhouses.
Re Where is the American press:
There is no “American” press; there’s liberal, socialist, retarded democrat sycophants pretending to be journalists.
You can’t put American and liberal in the same sentence. Mutually exclusive terms.
“Where is the American press?”
They don’t even know what Pearl Harbor was.
“We should all remember who we are as a nation...”
Who we were.
RIP
>Where is the American press?
They are captured.
That’s the place the Germans bombed that got President Washington to get us us into the Civil war, right?
T
Our press is too busy calling conservatives fascists. We live in a time where John Belushi’s line in Animal House won’t be thought of as funny but as a “ what’s a Pearl Harbor?” question.
...
I just taught a youngster about Pearl Harbor today.
Are there Pearl Harbor survivors in other states?
My father-in-law was a 90 day wonder ensign in the navy. Besides English he spoke French, German, Italian and Spanish so the navy put him in the Pacific of course.
He was at home above the harbor when the Japanese arrived. He left his 5-months pregnant wife and worked without much food or sleep for three days doing rescue and recovery. He learned to dive in about twenty minutes time.
Once the war started the navy had the good sense to put him in the Atlantic where his language skills could be put to use. Later as a lieutenant he got to participate in D-Day. I never heard of anyone who was at both Pearl and D-Day. I learned all this from others at his funeral. He never spoke of it.
The title is confusing. “Final Pearl Harbor survivor in Nevada dies in his sleep, aged 99” For clarity, shouldn’t this read: “Final Pearl Harbor survivor dies in his sleep in Nevada, aged 99”
RIP, Ed Hall.
Are you always like this?
