Biden Verbally Fumbles, Twice, During Campaign Trip in Florida
The New York Times I Yahoo ^ | November 2, 2022 | By Peter Baker

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — President Joe Biden verbally fumbled during a campaign swing in Florida on Tuesday, confusing the U.S. war in Iraq with the Russian war in Ukraine, and then he fumbled again while he tried to correct himself, misstating how his son Beau died in 2015.

In defending his record on inflation, Biden was trying to blame rising costs on President Vladimir Putin of Russia for his invasion of Ukraine, which has roiled international energy markets. It’s a point that he makes regularly in public speeches, but this time he mixed up his geography and history.

“Inflation is a worldwide problem right now because of a war in Iraq and the impact on oil and what Russia is doing,” Biden told a crowd during a speech at O.B. Johnson Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida, before heading to Miami Gardens for an evening campaign rally with Democratic candidates. He quickly caught his own mistake. “Excuse me,” he said, “the war in Ukraine.”

But as he tried to explain how he mixed up the two wars, he told the audience, “I think of Iraq because that’s where my son died.” In fact, Beau Biden, a military lawyer in the Delaware Army National Guard, served for a year in Iraq. He returned home in 2009 and died of brain cancer in the United States in 2015.

Biden, who has made the same mistake before, once again sought to correct himself. “Because, he died,” he said, apparently referring to his belief that Beau’s cancer could have been caused by his service in Iraq, where he may have been exposed to toxic burn pits.

This is news? He's been doing this for 2 years. I guess it's news to the New York Times.

I watched the video of it yesterday. It’s pretty bad. This man should not be our President.

A good friend of mine had a bad stroke, and while he was mostly lucid and quite intelligent afterwards, he got it into his head that he had a secret brother, and no one could talk him out of it completely. The brain is a funny thing. I find myself hoping that some people who do awful things have a screw loose somewhere so that their culpability is attenuated.

“misstating how his son Beau died in 2015”

Biden tries to give the impression to the ill informed and the stupid (democrat supporters) that his son was KIA in a combat area. He knows exactly what he’s saying and it is a despicable and shameful bald faced lie. Of course no republicans (assistant democrats) will rake him over the fire pit for it.

Peter Doocey should ask the White House press secretary for confirmation that Biden’s son died in Iraq and if so, was the death a combat casualty

Biden fumbles every time he talks... but it’s suddenly newsworthy to NYT?!

[confused, are you stupid?, look on face]

yup,

when he claims beau died in Iraq, that has nothing to do with his dementia, that’s an intentional disgusting lie. Using his son’s brain cancer as some weird way to score political points and pretend he is in the same boat as gold star parents.

The man is truly demented on many levels.

“This man should not be our President.”

**************

Given the current state of the country its not really surprising that someone like him is president. The VP is no better. This country has changed profoundly in terms of demographics, culture and morality and we are seeing the effects of this long term degradation.

His prose today is no different than 30 years ago. His is very unintelligent, has never had an idea he hasn’t plagiarized from someone else, and resorts to bullying those who stand in his way with his authority as a politician.

The NYT and MSM is now getting ready to kick Biden to the curb on Nov 9.
Look for them to pull the 25th Amendment on him for loosing both House and Senate.
GOP picks up 4 Senate seats and 50+ House.
Still hoping The Alaska Kow is gone.

Biden has been a lying, insecure, braggart since he was a teen in the pool with Corn Pop. He had to pull out of the presidential race in 1988 for lying (plagarizing) speeches. This started way before his dementia set in.

“Fumbles twice”?? I watched his speech... more like 6-7 times.. he is like Fetterman, getting worse each day.

A father who used his drug addicted, sex obsessed/crazed son as his bag man with China and the Ukraine, and we expect him to not exploit his other son’s death? LOL, the meat puppet is evil to his core.
