But the demands from NATO’s side of the table have been consistent in that regardWhy is NATO at the table at all?

Hope so. If there’s anything to this, those two countries should do as much discussion and deciding as is diplomatically possible. Do not rely on the USA under Joe Biden and his team of dysfunctional puppeteers.

Henry Kissinger is still alive. But he's 99. I don't think he can fly to a country in Eastern Europe right now. But he can probably propose a deal. Russia gets to keep Crimea. Ukraine pledges to remain neutral. Russia withdraws troops from occupied territories of Ukraine (not Crimea).
The war will end.

If this war were to end tomorrow, the stock market would explode. What stock would you buy?

Just peace =
1) Return to the pre-invasion borders,
2) Russia pays reparations,
3) Ukraine commits to never join EU or NATO.

ZelenskyyIdiot does not want to negotiate.
The US/UK/NATO does not want to negotiate.
There will no ‘talks’ till the unconditional surrender of the Banderist Kyiv Regime.

This is interesting and all, however now that the US/West has ramped up enough with artillery/ missiles/drones (do not believe for a damn minute that US/CIA is not doing this war) to swing this because the ‘demon’ Putin is not going along with the WEF.

If the Russians are serious, they should make a concrete proposal. The odds on it being anything Ukraine will or should accept approach zero, but no way to know for sure until they do it.

"They’re not going to talk about dropping sanctions unless Russia fully withdraws from Ukraine and the borders are returned to where they were before the invasion."
Ha, ha. Which invasion? The first invasion.
"...don’t hold your breath for any sort of a breakthrough before Thanksgiving."
It's not going to happen this year at all, and it's all up to the Ukrainians. "The West" will not negotiate in their stead.

Lavrov’s “conditions” are meaningless drivel. How about if Russia just packs up and goes home for starters?

RuSSia is in NO position to be trying to dictate terms to end the war. Its forces are beaten. Ukraine will end the war with the vastly superior soldiers and weapons that RuSSia will never possess.

It was long ago the time for negotiations.
If we cut off military support, peace will break out.
line off control should be the default starting point.
i’m not optimistic about ceasefire currently.
for humanitarian support the us should pay an equal share with EU..so about 1/25 if there are 25 EU countries. Not our problem

And what about the small issue of Finland and Sweden’s joining NATO? Can’t see the Russians swallowing that all that well.
