RE; As for placing your whole worldview of the war/conflict on the jackasses that write at Hotair, you might want to reconsider such.

I am not one to simply dismiss any report as fake just because someone tells me it is. I don’t hold a worldview in this, other than war is bad and death and destruction must stop.

In the meantime, I ask questions which I believe are relevant.

RE: Stay away from the jackasses at Hotair

I’ll be the judge of that.

In Russia such posters are called the mind-readers of Putin. No proves except some wildest speculations))..

Complete waste of time of reading.

Would you finally explain me the mechanic of the Russian economic implosion?
Browse YouTube for travel bloggers. All of them report that the inflation and availability of consumer products in Russia are better compared to Western countries as well.
The only parts of consumer market that are screwed are auto market and international vacations.
People don’t buy cars every day and it still can be solved, the lack of international vacations is a boost for the domestic industry.
Just like the exodus of foreign stuff like IKEA or Coca Cola, already replaced by domestic businesses producing jobs at home.
From B2B is may be harder, buy they switch from the Western supplies to Asia.
Here we have the favorable trade balance as a result, because most of the Russian exports are fungible.

As I said above, if this is so, I don’t see why it would be in Russia’s interest to end this war. Just let it continue and see their western enemies implode while they continue to prosper.

The PR angle in terms of hate war. You can see Europe blocking the exports of food and energy from Russia and then their leaders falsely screaming that Russia is weaponizing hunger and cold.

Why is NATO at the table at all?

Because, only recently, Russia has threatened NATO with nuclear weapons.

That good enough for you?

Regards,

Why is NATO at the table? Because Russia won’t accept a deal from anybody else.

That’s been obvious since all of the demands in the Kremlin draft agreement in December 2021 were aimed at NATO. ALL of their demands were aimed at NATO.

Ukraine wasn’t asked to do anything. Russia demanded NATO withdraw all cooperation, training, defense assistance and article 5 protection from all former Soviet vassals east of Germany.

“Let us invade all of the Warsaw Pact if we choose to, without a fight, or we will invade Ukraine”, was Russia’s elevator pitch.

Ukraine held up the armistice and publicly expressed no application for NATO membership had been submitted. Ukraine additionally pointed out NATO still hasn’t created any kind of accession roadmap for Ukraine. Bosnia has had one for years and still isn’t a member.

Russia couldn’t care less about any of that. It wants NATO out of the way so it can invade smaller, weaker independent countries and drag them out of the 21st century by their ankles, back into a Soviet like empire, with total impunity.

That government of Ukraine ended in 2014, the attendant does not continue. The people who opted out of the coup have been mercilessly attacked by the coup government with artillery.
That Budapest attendant did not include Ukraine going nazi after a government overthrow, handing the Sevastopol navy base over to the US and Brit navies, and conducting ethnic cleansing.

It’s childish sophistry to point to that agreement and innocently pretend that one day Russia violated it as you run to the fainting couch.

“I don’t hold a worldview in this, other than war is bad and death and destruction must stop.“

And did you hold that view when Nazi Azov artillery was pounding the Donbass for 8 years for there crime of opting out of the coup? Well above 10k killed.

Ukraine isn’t entitled to it’s own government? You sound like a NWO Democrat. Putin and his globalist WEF partners have more in common than you will ever admit. We’ll never MAGA by partnering with Putin’s nazi Russia.

Here is what I think is insightful on the topic.

Article "The Heavy Clouds of Peace" by Nicolas Tenzer

The author's grandfather died in WW I and his father fought in WW II. Due to that experience the only thing his father was truly afraid of was "peacemongers" because therein lies the road to (great) war.

RUSSIA is the one who *unilaterally* cut off all gas flows to Europe on August 31st, saying they wouldn’t resume “until the sanctions stop”

yes Russia weaponized energy
