The Original Social Security Program enacted in the 1930’s says that if SS ever spends its Reserve and goes to Pay as You Go - EVERYONE takes a 20% Cut in Benefits.
Inflation has pushed that point forward.
Unless something is done - within 5 years everyone will take a 20% CUT in benefits. Across the Board.
Yet we keep paying higher premiums, our 2nd is TRICARE LIFE, hub spent 20 years in the Navy. And many pharmacies have dropped covering our ER scripts. Krogers, Walmart, and Private, while our Express Scripts copays keep increasing. Our Naval base is an old WW2 small base NAS-BUPERS. Everything comes out of Pensacola. Hours are limited, and when you need an ER script you need a pharmacy to take it. Obumer did this in his terms, cut payments, 6 months to get paid. Doctors and hospitals are in the works. I had a Diverticulitis attack, and the local pharmacy wouldn’t fill the script unless we paid the full cost, cheap one you can get away with it, but so many are too costly for seniors to absorb the full cost. We live rurally, Kroger’s is the only one within a reasonable drive. Friday forget the base until Monday, or Tuesday if it’s a holiday. For small bases, you have to order Express Scripts.
No they won’t because they probably have scrapped those words by now.
