I could understand siding with the regular German army, given the experience of Stalin’s brutalities, but siding with the SS, which even a lot German regulars loathed, is a bridge too far. It would be a shameful chapter in any nations history to have been involved with the SS in significant numbers.

The context was a mini discussion on Ukrainian’s supporting the SS. Not the anti jewish attitudes in Russia. As stated, western Ukraine was a hotbed of SS collaboration. And to me it seems significant it is the only area ( I use area because I don’t know if it was more than 1 oblast) that Zelenksky didn’t get over 50%. I suggesting it may be because he was Jewish. Maybe you might have another explanation. Maybe you don’t care about it the question. Fine if you don’t
