The regime has signed on to purchase hundreds of millions of IV treatments for radiation sickness, and has stock piled Iodine tablets for decades.
I've had 3000 RADs through my gut. 300 RAD at a session. The hair on my mid-section brushed off at 600 RAD. By 1200 RAD, I had diarrhea that even Lomotil and Compazine were hard pressed to fix. Every treatment came with 4 to 6 hours of vomiting. Every treatment was preceded by a blood test to see if my blood count could tolerate another treatment. Much of the marrow in my spine and pelvis was fried by the treatment. It took two years before I had sufficient stamina to walk around the block. A huge drop from speed skating at a roller rink 6 hours per night, 6 nights a week.
My wife had 5000 RADs to treat breast cancer. She developed diabetes and is now an insulin dependent T1 diabetic. Her treatment didn't come with hours of puking and diarrhea, but she wasn't unscathed.
