Germany has promised to transfer to Ukraine 100 Soviet-made tanks, which will be delivered from Greece and Slovakia in a “circular scheme”. This was stated by German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht, reports CNN.
Head of the German Defense Ministry During a visit to the German military stationed in Lithuania, the German military announced additional deliveries of weapons to Ukraine, including the IRIS-T air defense system and 100 tanks from Greece and Slovakia.
The website of the German government reports that queues for delivery to Ukraine:
4 IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile systems
2 MARS II multiple launch rocket systems with ammunition;
4 self-propelled guns Panzerhaubitzen 2000 with ammunition;
50 Dingo armored vehicles;
13 bridge systems;
90 heavy trailers;
"winter package" (thermal clothing, generator sets, tents and food rations).
Previously, BAGNET reported that the Czech Republic approved the supply of heavy weapons to Ukraine.
I’ll take headlines from 1941 for 500 Alex….
May replace a day of losses
Germany does not have Panzer Armies anymore.
There are Opportunity Costs associated with this war.
Lulz, Germany don’t even have enough munitions beyond two days, but keep waiting for them 100 tanks....

tanks are slow useless easy targets. Give them planes that they can bomb Moscow with or take out Putin with, or finish taking out that bridge with.
I do not like Putin and I do not like Zelensky and I do not like this war.
Should help stretch out the conflict until next year’s class of conscripts become availible.
If they can get there in one piece.
There is no place for reason the UKR v RUS threads.
The world, according to some, is strictly binary.
They’re on the GWB train, “You’re either with us, or against us.”
What an absolute embarrassment...
“I do not like Putin and I do not like Zelensky and I do not like this war”
I agree. I’ll bet there are lots more who also agree but the warmongers are loud and persistent.
Thanks for the 40 year old tanks. Nothing like cutting edge technology.
Probably the winter gear will be the most important supplies, wars have a tendency to bring brutal winters.
“What an absolute embarrassment...”
Sadly, I no longer recommend FreeRepublic to people because of the nuclear warmongers here.
This is a funny title, claiming Germany will send 100 tanks.
Then when you read the article, you find out that Germany isn’t sending any tanks to Ukraine.
Greece and Slovakia are sending their old soviet tanks on Ukraine
If you have to choose between war and dishonor and you choose dishonor you will have war.
Things have devolved massively.
They post around 60 threads a day.
Last FReepathon made it on the last day.
They are pushing away the reasonable and thoughtful FReepers.
I think it’s deliberate as well.
They have the existing logistical support (and training) to use these tanks immediately.
Thanks Sun Tzu but the world isn’t binary, and Ukraine isn’t our ally.
Every little bit helps.
Helps what? Prolong a war that should have and could have been over in a few weeks, all while the puppet masters are drinking wine or bourbon and smoking Cuban cigars?
Prolong a war orchestrated and initiated by those very same puppet masters?
Prolong a war where one of the main players was installed into his position by the US government so the money laundering machine can keep on running?
This is an oldie but a goodie and I can’t imagine that all that much has changed, given the massive amounts of money the Germans have to spend on money for all the illegals that have invaded.
Germany’s army is so under-equipped that it used broomsticks instead of machine guns ... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2015/02/19/germanys-army-is-so-under-equipped-that-it-used-broomsticks-instead-of-machine-guns/
I’m betting those tanks are relics and without the ability to get any meaningful supply of parts other than to cannibalize other tanks, until there are none.
And in light of all of that, I thought the Ukrainians were pushing the Russians all the way back to Moscow, why do they need more help?
