If, and it’s a big if, something was going on, the first reports are almost always going to be wrong.
It is unlikely, but possible someone is moving on Putin. Another possibility, but still unlikely is that Putin is moving against someone. Most likely is that these are unrelated to anything noteworthy.
But I can still wish that Mr. Putin is swinging by a lamppost by this evening.

It’s easy to feel that way, but I worry who the ruthless SOB is who would hang Putin and take over running the country.
