They are complaining that people took the racism OUT of something?
I grew up in the 60s in the deep south. We said “feller”. We didn’t specify his racial background. We were inclusive and diverse before it was cool. Although I guess we were still sexists.
“Tiger” doesn’t make sense. “If he hollers let him go.” Tigers don’t holler.
Yall’s haikus are cracking me up.

Tony the Tiger yells great! Why would a slave owner let a slave go when catching him just because he hollers? That makes even less sense to me than a tiger hollering, animals do cry out or shout out.
If someone has a tiger by its toe, he has a much bigger problem than figuring out what sound it can or can’t make. ;)
I only heard “tiger” growing up, and don’t believe for one second that this was ever a reference to blacks in any way. There may have been such a reference in “Pulp Fiction”, but that was a goofy movie.
They will tie whatever they want to racism.
We said “piggy” when I was a child. “Catch a piggy by the toe.”
I never heard it with the word “tiger,” either, or with any other word.
A pig would holler if you caught it by the toe, whereas a tiger would kill you.
