I wrote the book on the connection between the Unabomber and the Zodiac Killer, The Unabomber and the Zodiac. I still think Kaczynski is the best of the suspects. I don't know too many known killers who dote on letters to the newspapers and who make allusions to opera in those letters.

Michael Mageau survived an attack from the Zodiac and confirmed it was Arthur Leigh Allen who shot him. Also, there was a young woman who escaped a kidnapping attempt by the Zodiac and she said it was Arthur Leigh Allen. This was all documented in the Robert Graysmith book.
