Within a few years of women’s suffrage we saw the rise of the welfare state under Roosevelt, with government becoming a nanny and taxing people to “redistribute” wealth in all manner of unconstitutional ways. I don’t think that’s an accident. Women tend to look for an authority who is also a provider for their lives; in a husband that works fine, but government can only provide by taking from others, making such a thing inherently unjust. While plenty of women reject such a path, I suspect this tendency is strong enough that it proved fatal to the health of the constitutional republic.

Prior to prohibition there were women groups running through pubs and causing a ruckus and damage to the pubs. (Pubs were only visited by men at that time)
