There are 6,278 state legislative seats up for election on November 8, 2022, across 46 states. This page analyzes incumbents defeated in those state legislative races. An incumbent may be defeated at two points in an election cycle: during a primary election or other nominating contest and during a general election.[1]
In primary elections, 216 incumbents lost to challengers, 4.5% of incumbents who filed for re-election.
In 2022:
63 Democratic incumbents lost in primaries, 2.8% of the 2,273 Democratic incumbents who filed for re-election. 153 Republican incumbents lost in primaries, 6.0% of the 2,568 Republican incumbents who filed for re-election. The total number of incumbents who lost to primary challengers—216—is up 40% compared to 2020.

And these figures don't include "voluntary" retirements because they'd lose their primaries.
Legislative bodies both large and small will be far different come January.
It was RINO-controlled state legislatures who handed the Steal to the Rats on a platter.
RINO traitors would rather have a Rat win than have 'their' party taken over by MAGA.
This is going to go a long way in preventing RINO complicity in 2024 -- their numbers are reduced and MAGA is rising.
It will take more than one election cycle to remove these embedded traitors.
Almost took out uber RINO Robin Vos in Primary (Assy Speaker Wisconsin) write in campaign might do it in November Adam Steen
Good point about those incumbents who decided to not run again. Too bad they don’t provide that picture, too.

This is from August 15th. I’ll post when it’s updated.
“incumbent turnover so far is greater than the total turnover in 2014, 2016, and 2020. In fact, newcomers will hold at least 26% of the state legislative seats up for election. Unless every incumbent wins their general elections in November (an unlikely scenario, historically speaking), that figure will only increase before the end of the year.”
There is a reason all the McCain family and supporters in AZ rose such a stink.
They lost nearly every RINO they had here.
Pence even showed up to defend them.
Voters showed them the door with a big kick in the pants.
I did notice the GOP-e is finally throwing $$$ at AZ.
We could have a very good Nov!

With control of even more legislative chambers after November (Republicans now control 62 out of 99 chambers), along with winning governor’s races in places like Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, there is NO WAY the Democrats can win the presidency in 2024.
And the Democrats ALWAYS have some new trick. We’ll see in November how Atlanta and Philadelphia and Detroit and Madison and Phoenix deal with the people watching their actions like a hawk and what new games they play (like the phony water main leak in Atlanta).
I saw 40%, and I thought that 40% of incumbents LOST....not so.
