Putin is a failed leader and his dreams are warped. But I can still see how the NWO and its NATO policies have offended Putin.

I think you are vastly overestimating Dems interest in Europe. They have very little. They’ve used Ukraine as a prop to attack Trump but in reality are fine doing business with Putin. America hating Dems have had common cause with the Kremlin for over a century. Recall the famous “reset” photo of Hillary and Lavrov? Dems want war on us and not Russia.
