A Russian separatist leader in Ukraine’s Donbass region has admitted the situation is “very difficult” as Kyiv mounts a huge surprise attack.
Ukraine is reported to have made far reaching progress in retaking territory invaded by Russia in the country’s easier Donbass regions.
Unconfirmed reports have suggested that Kyiv’s troops mey have entered Donetsk Airport, on the outskirts of one the separatiss region’s biggest cities.
An intelligence update said Russia had been “taken by surprise” buy the Ukrainian push.

Ukraine is the key to regional domination. Always has been.
It is rich in resources. That is why Russia invaded. It wants those resources for itself and doesn’t want them to fall into the hands of the EU.

Got a report from the Austrian I know today. Says that it appears the Ukrainians are attacking with just around 5 brigades.
If that is correct, they are seriously exposed. They found a very weak spot and took advantage.
I suspect that if they do not bolster their flanks, they are walking into another meat grinder.
5 brigades cant push forward and protect their flanks. Aint enough.
They abandoned the Kherson offensive because they were not making enough progress quick enough.
On the upside, no homosexual gang rape by Russia’s “macho” soldiers, which they’re rather notorious for even amongst themselves.

Well, we can all hope the war will end (as much as the neocons and globalists will try to prevent that) but I suspect the carnage is just beginning. The Ukrainian rulers have plans to “deal with” what they view as collaborators. They’ll hide their actions (or blame it on the Russians as is their practice) as much as possible but it will be bloody and won’t be pretty.
Do the Russians have any forces available which are not engaged elsewhere? It doesn’t look like they do.
It’s not our problem.
