The Manhattan apartment and Southampton mansion of a Russian oligarch with close ties to President Vladimir Putin were raided by federal agents on Thursday, according to the FBI and a report.
An FBI spokesperson confirmed agents “conducted law enforcement activity” at the Upper East Side high-rise and Long Island estate linked to billionaire Viktor Vekselberg, but declined to comment further.
FBI officials and Homeland Security Investigation agents were seen carrying boxes out of Vekselberg’s 515 Park Ave. apartment building and his Southampton mansion at 19 Duck Pond Lane, according to NBC New York, which first reported the searches.
The US has imposed strict sanctions on a number of Russian oligarchs — including Vekselberg — since Putin invaded Ukraine in February.
In April, the feds seized an enormous, $90 million yacht dubbed Tango from Vekselberg while it was docked in a Spanish port.
Vekselberg’s other assets in the US, including a $90 million jet, have also been frozen. American companies are barred from doing business with Vekselberg, who raked in billions by investing in energy and metals in Russia.
The embattled oligarch is under investigation for alleged bank fraud, but Thursday’s searches are unrelated to those allegations, NBC reported.

Vekselberg is best remembered as a Clinton Foundation donor who played a key role in the Uranium One deal.
Bill Clinton personally lobbied the State Dept. to allow the Russian oligarch to attend a CGI conf. in 2012.
All of one’s important data can be contained on a USB stick or two.

What it should read is the NKVD Peoples Commissariat for Internal Affairs of the Federal Government conducted a raid looking for secret correspondence.
Wonder if they’re looking for something juicy to plant in the stash they removed from Mar-a-lago.
Distraction for the Trump raid—They got Baron Playboy copy. The Russia should have headed home for Moscow rather than stick in New York.
One wonders what was specified in the search warrant. Tax or business documents? Evidence of espionage? Or just because he’s a Russian oligarch “with ties to Putin” who needs to be harassed by making up an excuse to go on a fishing expedition? Are they trying to find some connection to Trump?

Putin has said Russia is a Christian nation and he will not allow it to be invaded or partitioned or diluted by Muslims of any type. That is sufficiently incendiary a statement to unleash the hatred of the U.S. woke deep state. Ukraine is a politically corrupted den of iniquity yet look at all of the U.S. taxpayers’ dollars Biden has been sending to them.

Vekselberg is one of the wealthiest men in Russia, worth over $10 billion, and has donated to the Clinton Foundation since Hillary’s tenure as Secretary of State.

Melania Trump’s panties.
Donald Trump’s toenail clippings.
Barron Trump’s porn collection.
Video of Donald Trump pushing Ivana down the stairs.
A witness provided exact locations for the items and indicated that some of the missing Trump Presidency Secret documents were used to wrap up the evidence.
