S’okay, FRiend.

These are some trying times we live in. I find myself apprehensive and afraid of the future for my children. We tried to do everything right, raising them in a loving, Christian household, but I guess we didn’t pay enough attention to the world, which is going to hell at an alarming rate.

We accepted the Bushes as the best we could get at the time. That’s turning out to be a gross mistake.

National Geographic magazine had an issue supporting George Bush about the Katrina response. It was the democrat governor that turned down the federal help prior to the hurricane and the mayor who parked the buses that could have been used to evacuate the people were parked in a flood zone. They both blamed Bush for their bad leadership.
The over reaction of reporters to what was really going on like the Fox News guy Shepard Smith did not help either.

"The Bush-Cheney administration was a total disaster. It was focused on nation-building overseas but ignored major problems domestically. Their bungled and delayed reaction to Hurricane Katrina was one of the worst federal government emergency responses in American history. "

Bush was not responsible for the failures of an irresponsible state and local democrat government.

Oh here we go again! Another Trump Era "conservative" spewing Bush Derangement Syndrome bile. Funny how they all have crawled out of the woodwork.

Of course he blames Bush for Katrina. Why not? Because we all know that Nagin and Blanco were the ones responsible? Because blaming Bush was always a left wing lie? Just like how Bush lied about WMD's? That was a left wing lie from the beginning. A lie that was and is very easily debunked. Yet, that lie has been embraced by "conservatives." I very rarely see a conservative speak out against it these days.

All because Donald Trump is one of the perpetrators of the lie, and has been for years. Ah yes, Donald J Trump. The guy who is going to save America from the "uniparty." The guy who was a left wing Democrat during Bush's presidency. The guy who supported abortion, gun control, amnesty, eminent domain abuse, and gave many dollars to left wingers. The guy who said the economy does better under democrats and Bill freaking Clinton was his favorite president. The guy who praised Obama and Pelosi, but was disappointed that she didn't impeach Bush. If there is a uniparty, Trump embodies it more than anyone.

This is what happens when the truth no longer matters to the party that is supposed to stand for it. When the ony thing that matters is the populist dreck that Trump vomits. So yes he has transformed the party. The only party I have ever been a member of no longer stands for anything. The truth be damned. Excuse me while I forget to celebrate.

Nice try but none of us would have said anything about President Bush if his super fans hadn't gone into attack mode from the first moment against Donald Trump.

We also know that President Trump followed through and Made America Great Again better than any president since President Reagan, who was a former Democrat too.

What you described about Donald Trump was from his days of getting along in the rough business world of NYC.   The fact that he is a businessman and because of that understands grassroots issues of the economy, government excess and overreach was the reason I wanted Donald Trump to declare his candidacy.   I previously supported the other businessman Herman Cain in the previous election cycle but he was torpedoed by the Democrats with false accusations.

As I posted above:

The enemy has always blamed President Bush for Hurricane Katrina and this article is simply using the Democrat's shtick to bludgeon Biden's RINO friends.   If it works, that suits me fine.
You and your RINO ilk deserve all the ridicule you can suffer for your enabling support of this Democrat Socialist Administration.   Tell us now how you love Liz Cheney.

Dubya could also reach home plate from the pitchers mound... man those were the days...

You’re romanticizing unavoidable responses to the global failures that cohort of a-holes created.

You're a hack. You admit it. You don't care about the truth as long as it hurts Trump's enemies. Your defense of Trump is bullspit. Oh he was a businessman nothing he said or did counts! Typical. Trumpists always act like everything before 2016 doesn't count. You have to! After all, you can't defend the indefensible.

You have some nerve trying to blame Bush supporters. Gee I can't imagine why Bush supporters wouldn't embrace Trump. Who attacked who unprovoked? It wasn't Bush. It was Trump doing his Michael Moore impersonation. You're joking mentioning Trump in the same breath as Reagan, right? Reagan was authentic, not an opportunist. Reagan was a Democrat during a time when there were still a lot of conservative Dems. Trump was a rat after nine effing eleven! A very left-wing anti-American rat! He's not fit to lick the bottom of Reagan and Dubya's boots.

I'm a rino? Unlike Trump, I'm a diehard conservative. I was a conservative when Trump was opposing everything Free Republic was founded on. Trump is an actor, a WWE character. He's a real life embodiment of the Vince McMahon character. I'm a rino for not falling for his act? What does that make Trump? He's been on every side of every issue. He's king rino. Everything I'm saying is easily backed up by the facts.

What have you done but carped and whined like a little girl?

Hilarious considering Trump invited the Clintons to his wedding and called BJ his favorite president ever. Forgive me for interrupting your delusional fantasy though.

What president Trump said 25 years ago is irrelevant. His record as president is a lot better then open borders Bush.

You're comical!   Thanks for the laughs!   I couldn't even keep reading.   President Reagan was an actor, an actor.   He was an authentic actor.   My Dad got to meet Ronald Reagan in the 1950's when he toured the General Electric Medium Transformer Division Plant in Rome, GA as the GE Spokesman.

That was quite an opportunity for an opportunist actor who became the President of SAG, then parleyed that to the Governorship of California and on to the Presidency.   LOL   While President he saw the opportunity to destroy the Soviet Union and took it.

What you TDS crazies can't see is that the old Northeast Rockefeller Republicans died when President Reagan came along and were buried with the end of the Cold War but you are still dreaming of the Twentieth Century.   Wake up from your pipe dream.

Are you obtuse, or are just pretending to be? I am well aware that Reagan was an actor. Clearly, when I called him authentic and Trump an opportunist, I was referring to them in a political context. Reagan was a moderate to conservative Democrat at a time when such a species existed. As he famously said, the party left him. As a Republican, he moved to the right and was driven by conservative principles. He was far from perfect, but he was great. He didn't tell people what they wanted to hear, he led the country to the right.

Conversely, Trump, the current flavor of the moment, has no coherent ideology. No, Maga is not an ideology, it's a slogan. He is not a conservative. He does not have conservative values and principles. He has been on every side of every issue. As I said previously, he opposed everything this site was founded on. He wanted Bush impeached for "lying" about wmds. Meanwhile he said the same damn thing about Iraq's wmds in his 2000 book. Before 9/11. Before Bush was president. He also supported going to war with Iraq. This libel alone should disqualify him from having any conservative support. Alas, it's a microcosm of who he is.

I didn't even respond to this article to trash Trump, although it is honestly unavoidable. The point is, people who call themselves conservatives have abandoned conservatism to embrace whatever Trump says. The bds is one the most egregious byproducts. You have made the left's lies your own. Blaming Bush for Iraq, the recession, and now Katrina! Conservatives once stood against these lies. Now you attack him from the left because Trump does. Do you know how effed up that is?

I've said nothing about Rockefeller Republicans. As for tds, you do know what the first presidential derangement syndrome was, right? Where the term started? Hint: your hero was an original sufferer of it, and still is. So spare me.
