thanx for the clarification re: roots & evolution of winred, nick based on wikipedia’s info.

for some reason, I thought there was some contention between trump & RNC about the RNC using Trump’s image or likeness in their fund raising efforts.

I guess trump’s “re-election campaign” folded the tent around 1/20/20??

so, who’s getting the benefit of winred fund raising over the past two years??

I used to get a ton of solicitation from various named candidates across the nation (many of which I liked & hoped would win), and whenever I hit the button to make a small donation to a particular candidate, I found out I was not donating to that candidate & couldn’t specify my $ would go to my candidate, but the donations were pooled up and seemed to be divvied up by the RNC??

so, my rule now is to only donate directly to a candidate I like & I don’t send any money to winred

but, that’s just me.

what am I missing?

I don’t think you’re missing anything... donating to individual candidates is the only way to go, imo. But if I understand correctly, winred is the preferred way to donate to Trump and his organization.
