There’s something called the tooth to tail ratio. How many non combat personnel does it take to keep one soldier in the feild? Depending on what that soldier is doing it may three to five. Payroll, logistics, truck drivers, medical all count.

They should do what the Pentagon is doing: openly recruiting homos. Make them a deal. If they serve a full recruitment, then they won’t be prosecuted for being homos, and they can homo-it around (in private) with other veteran homos as much as they like.
