You write, "Cop killers get off with a slap on the wrist."

Frankly, I doubt that. A friend of mine worked in a DA's office and told me that, among the possible crimes they see, including horrific sexual assaults, "Killing a cop is definitely the big number."

Do you know of a case where someone convicted of killing a cop got off with a slap on the wrist? Or is this just urban legend?
