That’s serious trouble for DC.
Back in the 90s, DC’s fake delegate to Congress, Eleanor Holmes Norton, had to personally intervene when a couple local kids from SE held up some tourists on West Potomac Park, not far from the Lincoln Memorial.
She met w/ local “leadership” to explain that messing w/ the tourists is out of bounds.
Thats true. In the past, DC would do anything to keep crime out of tourist areas, or at least keep the crime out of the papers.
