It was not easy in former times. I am familiar with the process.
At the end of the day, the people still have to go through background checks, get clearances and pass the training.
Those are exactly the procedures which are most likely to get bypassed or compromised when "Diversity" is the key hiring metric.
And if they make it through all of that, how many will actually go out and work?
Almost none of them. And that would be a good thing.
This IRS expansion program needs to be derailed. And most certainly, the IRS should never be permitted to have armed agents.
This can not be real.
