Show me a police dept/ sheriffs dept in the US that doesn’t have them. Those things have been Godsends for the cops.
Sure there have been a few instance showing the cops going outside the lines. That’s on the officer. But they’ve also helped in more cases than you can imagine.

Hell, the FBI doesn’t record their interviews. Interviewer and note taker. Common for Notes to be destroyed after the final report is written, so it’s hard to know if they’re lying in the report.
Local cops are held to much stricter and higher standards than the Fed’s. Local
Cops could work circles around any fed any day of the week.
The Fed’s have money and gadgets. Nothing more.
