(WHY WE SHOULD WE DO IT AND WHY WE WILL SUFFER IN DOING IT -—>)3For the time will come when they will not endure (PUT UP WITH) sound doctrine, but according to their own (SINFUL, FLESHLY) desires (TO EXCUSE AWAY THEIR OWN SIN), because they have itching ears (ONLY WANTING TO HEAR COMFORTING WORDS, SO TO BE JUSTIFIED IN THEIR OWN SIN), they will heap up (PUSH FORWARD, ELEVATE, PROMOTE) for themselves (SELF, PRIDE) teachers (FALSE TEACHERS);
4and they will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside (DISTRACTED TOWARD) to fables (MYTHS AND LIES).
