What has happened to the FBI has also happened to most of the Federal government since Clinton was elected. Rational, decent people no longer trust or have faith in Federal agencies be they the FBI, DOJ, the Pentagon, the CDC, the FDA and many others.
They’ve done nothing.

Memories of Ruby Ridge and Waco were still pretty hot at the time of Elko and Klamath, and my understanding of reports through the grapevine was the Feds were notified that the protesters had friendly snipers ready to respond to any undue showing of force by the Feds.
How that plays out now is anyone's guess, given the Finicum/Uranium One fiasco, but I wonder if the mindset among certain quarters is if a party gets started, the theme is "take no prisoners".
