Because this guy, or whoever writes his material, only does what he's told to do, and they are sending up trial balloons all over the place.

They have no intention of giving Donald Trump a real trial.
No, he has it backwards. A prosecution or arrest of any type will collapse the country.
Unfortunately, our side would lose, because we still believe we can vote our way out of this mess.
Let’s assume that the AG is that stupid. For discovery Trump demands “classified” documents that he knows exist. The AG will either have to release them to Trump or go to the trial court to object to the release of the discovery to Trump. If the trial court denies the discovery request then Trump will be able to petition the appeals court for the documents requested in discovery. If again the discovery is denied he will petition the USSC.
What a circus that would be, and the AG knows that there is a good possibility that Trump’s lawyers will do it. This will not be the same as the Bannon trial because the courts know it will be expedited to the USSC before trial instead of after trial. The USSC will see the need to reinforce the view amongst the public that the trial is fair and all of the defendants rights are being protected so that a verdict will be accepted by the public as legitimate.
But they do serve to show how much the left media fear Trump and the lengths they will go to—even the total ruination of their own paper’s integrity—to try to keep him out of power.
I fear the grey lady doth protest too much.
