I think "The Godfather" was the greatest, but I would give "Godfather Part II" greatest sequel ever. I was blessed with seeing "The Godfather" for the first time on the big screen.

When I saw "The Godfather", I had no idea how the Sollozzo scene would play out, after all, the movie title seems to be about Vito, not Michael, but it was really about both.

In Godfather Part II, what becomes clear is how the world that Vito sets in motion initially to provide for and protect his family winds up destroying that family, and in the worst ways possible, Kay's abortion being party of it.
