Dick Morris to Newsmax: 'Only Trump Can Win This Election' in '24

Former President Donald Trump is not only going to run in 2024, but he is going to get the Republican nomination without a primary fight, according to political strategist Dick Morris on Newsmax.

Morris is out with a new bestseller, "The Return: Trump's Big 2024 Comeback," that asserts Trump will not only easily defeat any GOP challenger, but win back the presidency in 2024.

"The phrase is not 'likely,' the phrase is dead pipe certain: He's certain to run, and he is, I believe, certain to get the Republican nomination," Morris told Sunday's "Wake Up America." "I think he'll actually get it by acclamation. I don't think there'll be a primary fight."

All the talk of Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis being a viable challenger to Trump in the 2024 GOP primary, is just that, Morris added to host Katrina Szish.

"Well, there's a lot of Republicans who have sort of the 6-year itch," Morris added. "You've heard of the 7-year itch. It's been six years of Trump, but they're flirting with DeSantis and other candidates, but only Trump can win this election."

"First of all, only Trump can say, 'I did it: You want to know if I can cut inflation or hold down gas prices, seal the border? I did it when I was president,'" Morris said. "So he's sort of a hybrid: He's half incumbent and half challenger.

"And secondly, he has access to the Hispanic vote and to the white, high school-educated vote that other candidates really don't have, and that gives him a tremendous capacity.

"So I think that only Trump can win, but don't let it bother you DeSantis is not going to run."

Morris, who has advised former President Bill Clinton and Trump in 2016 and 2020, said his new book lays out the roadmap for

Uh oh.

Morris predicts a win.

The kiss of death.

Morris isn’t a kingmaker by any stretch.

2024 is a lifetime in politics. We should be concentrating on the House and Senate this November. Although our guys won’t get Biteme to sign anything sensible, it will put a stop to Pelosi and Schumer with their socialist/commie agenda. Maybe the Squad will slink away and just STFU.

Trump is a known entity at this point, and thus no longer “scary” to many voters who may have been leery of him the first time around. And obviously things were much better during his reign compared to Biden. Despite all the talk about DeSantis, I don’t think any Republican comes close to challenging Trump.

IMHO: The Deep State, the NWO pukes and Xi Jinping and Putin will never allow President Donald Trump to be the US President again. They will sink the ship before they let that happen again.

I doubt Trump will run, but if he announced he wasn’t, he’d be irrelevant.

Pence will run because his Deep State backers will demand it, but he’s no threat to actually win. DeSantis won’t run because it would be a bad look for someone who owes his current seat to Trump to turn around and run against him.

Dick Morris is a sleazebag as indicated by his dealings with Clinton/Lewinsky, but I really like his show.

Can anyone doubt that Trump is our Churchill?

What kind of people would vote against their Churchill because he offends people ... and FIGHTS???

I’m pretty sure that if DJT were somehow denied the Republican nomination, he could win the Presidency in 2024 as a third party candidate.

Sheesh! I like DeSantis and a few others just fine, but their time will be 2028 and beyond.

Yep.

Morris predicts a Trump win.

Just like he did in 2016.

He said Trump would win Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin and he did.

I would say that only Trump has the negative baggage to lose the 2024 election. He would probably win anyway, but Desantis is a sure thing.

Yea, you would.

But you've been disconnected from Reality for some time, so this is expected from you.

I wouldn’t be happy with Morris saying this given his track record.

Nothing - absolutely nothing - is ever a sure thing.

But Trump’s campaign team next time around actually needs to run a campaign and not let the opponent run roughshod over them and control the narrative of the campaign from start to finish. Trump totally owned and dominated the retail politics portion of the campaign - but Biden totally overwhelmed Trump with the “living room campaign” virtually unopposed on many networks where Biden advertised nationally - with sadly some of the best produced campaign ads in history - able to completely define himself and the supposed issues of the campaign without any opposing message. That is a losing strategy to cede that to your opponent.

I do not understand why no one is talking about a Trump/ DeSantis ticket in 24! That would be unbeatable! Then DeSantis for the next 8.

Now Dick Morris is someone we are supposed to listen to?

First it’s Alex Jones. Now it’s Dicky the Toe Sucker.

We live in interesting times.

Unfortunately, it would be unconstitutional - unless one of them changes their residency from Florida.

The collective IQ of those week actually think our sabotaged voting system could produce a conservative president in 2024 needs to be assessed.
