Let it be known that while Trump was in the WH US weapons were sent *overtly* to Ukraine so I doubt the Russians care much about what he says either.
Russia was a reliable partner that provided this energy and now they’re not. And it’s all because of the weapons on their border being pointed at them. This is what they’ve been warning for a long time. They are done talking.
