A gunman at an election rally in Nara ended the life of the longest-serving and one of the most popular prime ministers in Japanese history.
On July 8, just before 6 PM, it was reported that former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe had died, according to multiple sources and local media.

Japan has a growing problem- of a large number of aging unmarried males, in many cases jobless and very frustrated. The killer perfectly fit that demographic.

There should be a warning in this event to all our own gungrabbing whiner types. Taking away legitimate firearms does not protect dumbaxxes from someone who is really mad at them. We will know in due course. There used to be a lot of anger in Beijing every time Abe visited the Yasukuni shrine. Plus he was strongly advocating supporting Taiwan in a war with China.
