Wasn’t Perot real reason for running to prevent Bush the elder from winning?

This is what Liz is thinking.
Split the vote and then we get Biden again.

Third parties have a lousy record

That's why they're called 3rd Party - They always finish 3rd!!

the last 3rd party candidate to win ANY electoral votes --- not Anderson, not Paul, not Nader, not even Perot. You have to go back to good old boy George Wallace...

He’s a terrorist supporter. Treat him like Kal-el would treat kryptonite.

Dave Smith is considered to be much more of a favorite for the LP nomination ever since the Mises Caucus took over the party. He is a favorite of Joe Rogan, Tim Pool, Lex Fridman, and could generate a little buzz. Breaking 5% would be a huge win for them, but hopefully not enough from the GOP to change the outcome.

Just an attempt to keep Trump out and the border open.

The most important thing is keeping the illegal alien inundation going.

The only serious candidate who can even mention libertarian without being hooted down is Rand Paul. In all honesty, he would be my pick. His independence is beyond question. I donā€™t believe Paul would be taken in and taken advantage of the way Trump was by the DC GOP elites.

I think that only a lunatic would be looking for an alternative to Trump, at this point. Energy independence, record low unemployment, the monkey of China off of our backs, peace breaking out in the Middle East, etc. His accomplishments are almost endless, and this is with the entire DC Swamp on his back. Look at the dumpster fire without him. Weā€™re living in it.

I still marvel that more people havenā€™t simply demanded the fake ā€œpressā€ and women to just shut up. Do you want food and jobs, or not?

Rand is a loyal Republican though he would never join the LP.

No Libertarians please.

Rand Paul got 1% in the polls in 2016 and made a fool of himself in the debates.

Stick with Trump.

ā€œImagine twelve million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers. Twelve million more people assimilating into society. Twelve million more people being productive contributors.ā€
Has Rand repented of this? That is anything but an independent stance.

I would assume itā€™s something similar. I do know heā€™s very strong on ending illegal immigration. Yes, that is an independent position. It recognizes that you must deal with the 20+ million already here. Paul does not take the laughable position of many GOP hacks that you can round everyone of them up, regardless of the negative impact on our economy and country, and send them back en masse. Whatā€™s your solution?

Yes I know my bubble was burst in 2016

Maybe one day voters will be ready for Rand but not yet.

Trump is the winning ticket I agree.

However keep an eye on the LP as i said they have ballot access in almost every state. Who they run could have an impact.
