MediCal is the California version of Medicare and it is federal dollars along with state. Federal $ makes up between 62 and 100 percent of the funds spent, so their generosity is your generosity.

No, Medical is the California version of Medicaid.

My mom, who lived, worked, and paid taxes in California for seventy years made too much money with her Social Security check to get any kind of help from the state in her final illness. Juan, who snuck across the border a year ago would be eligible for all kinds of medical and financial help from the state.
