During his roughly hour-long, thunderstorm-shortened speech, Trump was typical Trump, airing his false grievance about the “rigged” 2020 presidential election that he lost, jabbing at President Joe Biden’s handling of the inflation-savaged economy and rejoicing at Friday’s U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning the 49-year-old Roe v Wade abortion-rights case.
But the biggest Illinois-centric news to come from Trump’s rally was his decision to finally make a splash in the state’s gubernatorial primary three days ahead of the election, where Bailey appears to be holding a commanding lead.

“ring his false grievance about the “rigged” 2020 presidential election”
I keep reading bias crap like this in the media yet I don’t recall the same being said about the multiple felon who is above the law Hillary Demon Clinton and her loyal minions when she was pushing the Russia collusion hoax without one shred of evidence.
Jesse Sullivan is a businessman, a veteran, and a complete outsider who would bring a fresh and positive outlook to the state. He has a comprehensive plan to combat the gang-bangers in Chicago and will open up IL vast coal reserves (IL has the 2nd largest deposit of coal reserves in the country).
Apologizes for the news source. Not many newspapers carried the story.
BAILEY is the real deal.
IL needs a businessman and a fighter, not another insider.
Doesn't matter. He's leading in the polls and will count as a W.
Doesn’t matter. Crook County will work their election-year magic and keep the fat guy in power.
Local news journalists are just as partisan as national media. Something has to be done about the media before they destroy our country.
Give it up, Extremely Extreme Extremist.
Despite nonstop hit pieces on BAILEY since he announced his candidacy, he holds a commanding lead over ALL his opponents.
DARREN BAILEY is not an establishment candidate. He will be our next governor and do a good job.
I thought Trump said tonight at the rally that Bailey was a good-ole boy farmer and not an insider.
The road to Springfield goes through Chicago. They're going with the fat guy again.
Bailey doesn't have the fight to fight the crooks and corruption that needs to be flushed out first before governoring.
But he'll probbaly win the GOP primary....and then generously concede when he loses in a landslide and advise Illinoisans to "work with Pritzker."
As all losing Republicans with no guts do when they lose.
LOL
Don’t be a sore LOSER-man.
It’s hard to campaign hard for someone only to have them go down in a Primary. Been there, done that.
They don’t care. If it’s a win that’s all that matters.
By dening the truth of the stolen election the medial is trying to set in stone their lie for future generations.
Governors in Illinois tend to be crooks.
4 of Illinois’ past 10 governors went to prison

Acquitted at trial: Len Small (1921-1929) and William Stratton (1953-1961)
Two former governors, Len Small and William Stratton, were charged with crimes but eventually acquitted.
Small was indicted while governor on charges of embezzlement committed during his time as state treasurer. Eight of the jurors who acquitted Small eventually landed state jobs during his tenure in the executive office.

Toilet scandal in the governor’s mansion?
A contractor removed all the toilets in one of Pritzker’s Gold Coast mansions – and promptly reinstalled a single working toilet in Pritzker’s “hangout/meeting area” after the mansion was deemed uninhabitable. The county inspector’s evaluation cut Pritzker’s property tax bill by $331,000.
An investigation in 2018 by the Cook County inspector general described the incident as a “scheme to defraud,” and Pritzker pledged to repay the money when it was exposed during his gubernatorial campaign. The Pritzkers came under federal investigation following the scandal, making Pritzker yet another Illinois governor whose actions have been called into question for corruption.
