Newsome v Trump would be a personality contest.
Newsome v DeSantis would be an issues contest, in which DeSantis would eat Newsome’s lunch comparing Cali exodus vs Florida’s magnet.
DeSantis would depants Newsome. Trump would get into name calling and ignore or downplay the issues, imho.
I’m a Trump guy, but this likely scenario —if it unfolds—might move me to the DeSantis column.
