The US State dept. brought about a lot of needless death and destruction when it broke up the Minsk Accord.

Before this is over the US govt. is going to get kicked out of Europe by popular demand.

Mark it down.

Yes, the law of unintended consequences is going to treat the real malefactors here - the US and NATO - to a horror show that the simpleton, pom pom waving, Biden/NATO narrative slurpers here can’t imagine. Biden began throwing Zelensky under the bus in LA Friday, and the government’s mouthpieces in the media are slowly shifting their rhetoric to prepare it for a collapse of the psyops illusions the public has about the Ukraine.

I hate war, but the US and NATO own this disaster.

Actually, one of my sources is saying the same, but it will be based on the Russians demanding the end of NATO, in response to keeping them (the Europeans) from freezing to death this winter, and possibly starving too.

We did the same when we broke up the Lisbon Agreement in 1992:

On 18 March 1992, all three sides signed the agreement; Alija Izetbegović for the Bosniaks, Radovan Karadžić for the Bosnian Serbs and Mate Boban for the Bosnian Croats. On 28 March 1992, after a meeting with US ambassador to Yugoslavia Warren Zimmermann in Sarajevo, Izetbegović withdrew his signature and declared his opposition to any division of Bosnia. What was said and by whom remains unclear. Warren Zimmermann denied that he told Izetbegović that if he withdrew his signature, the United States would grant recognition to Bosnia as an independent state. What is indisputable is that on the same day Izetbegović withdrew his signature and renounced the agreement.

And then in 1999 when the odious Madcow Albright whipped out Annex B after the FR Yugoslavia delegation was about to sign off on the Rambouillet Agreement (Kosovo):

No sovereign nation could possibly agree to such a thing. As you can read, Annex B called for NATO military occupation of the entire FRY. For some reason, we no longer cared about Annex B after bombing the daylights out of Serbia for 78 days, as the Kumanovo Agreement was very much the same as Rambouillet, but minus that pesky Annex B.

I’m not convinced the Europeans will want to kick us out, although this time around, they’re paying quite the price for our foolish pigheadedness. Given that the parties to Minsk were OSCE (US is a member), Russia, Ukraine, the DNR and LNR, and its brokers were Germany and France, who are European Leaders going to blame for Ukraine’s refusal to implement? The answer is obvious: Russia, of course.

Yes, the US could have insisted Ukraine honor the agreement they signed rather than the opposite. But that won’t play well in the press, as Germany, France and other members of OSCE could have pressed Ukraine themselves — not that it would do any good, as no peace agreement sticks unless the Americans want it to (see Lisbon and Rambouillet). Nevertheless, European leaders don’t like being seen as weak and acquiescing to American power and influence, so only Russia will be blamed.

…not to mention EU nations ( and Ukie citizens) starting to call for the corrupted little beggars ouster. Fighting the Russians down to the very last Ukrainian doesn’t sit well.

The natives are bearing the brunt and understandably getting fed up, to many soldiers being sent to the lines never to be heard from…a recent Pentagon report stated their intelligence has “ lost” 200,000 Ukie army whereabouts and now suspect the Ukies are lying to them about everything.

Hint: the age old EU saying : After shaking hands with a Ukrainian, be sure to count your fingers.
