Tiger’s career is effectively over, he apparently doesn’t need money and is interested in preserving his PGA legacy, which puts him 2nd in major wins behind Jack Nicklaus, where he will remain.

I watched every day of the masters this year. Woods was struggling so bad to walk on Friday I expected him to quit before the round was over....I’ve never been a tiger woods fan by any stretch but man that was hard to watch.
Since that I’ve gained a bit more respect and empathy for how bad he was injured.
Also in watching interviews during the masters he seems to have matured and found some humility.
And Tiger has a wonderful son, Charlie, who is a fabulous golfer at 12. I saw the Father and Son tourney earlier this year. They almost won because Charlie is outstanding, got 2nd.
Tiger has all the money he’ll ever need, but loves his kids more than he loves $$.
Perhaps Tiger is hoping the lure of LIV money attracts the core of current PGA stars, leaving a newly surmountable majors total within his grasp.
