My career fighter pilot buddy said he could guarantee the movie would do three things. Be utterly wrong about everything to do with jet fighters, make Tom Cruise look awesome, and be entertaining as hell.
He gave it 2 thumbs up and said make sure to see it in the best IMAX theater you could.

I enjoyed the action scenes but the melodrama filler was meh.

M I 1, 2, and 4 were too. Haven’t seen 3 yet. Seniors in hearing aids, night blind don’t do movie theaters.
