About 25 years ago I did a presentation for the astronomy club I belong to using material from the Weekly World News and a few other sources very similar to what you posted. It was way different from the usual monthly programs members would put on- astrophotos, pictures of their equipment, famous observatories they’ve visited, and whatever. Then I show up with stories like “a women gives birth to a baby with Spock’s ears”, ” A UFO saved Apollo 13”, “U.S.
Senators are space aliens”, “Space alien helps get Bill Clinton elected” and
“Hillary Clinton adopts space alien baby!”
It went over really big, everyone couldn’t stop laughing.
They liked it so much that they’ve been pestering me to do it again, so I’ve been hunting down all my old stuff, and adding some new material from the WWN and other sources, and I’m going to do it again, only this time I’m going to attempt doing it from my iPad and projecting it on the screen. Back then I did it with slides in a carousel projector. The projector is shot, and now we have a digital one. I’m pretty sure I have the right connections, otherwise it’s gonna be a short program.🙄
