This would not have happened under President Trump. Except that it did. Lot's of tests in Trump's first year, none while Trump was reaching out to NK with diplomacy, then lots more after that effort failed. They also conducted a nuclear test during Trump's presidency.

What I see in this South Korean news agency report is the firing of more than one missile which earlier reports made the situation sound like.
Multiple missiles fired from multiple locations this story says that’s more than the initial media reports.
The East Sea is the Korean name for the Sea of Japan I assume the missiles went down in that body of water unless they overshot Japan and landed in the Pacific.
