For the past seven weeks, Donna Martin has kept vigil at the bedside of her son, Christopher Charles Martin.
Some days Christopher, 27, is able to move his limbs and his eyes, and Martin believes he is trying to comfort her when he hears her cry.
“Christopher has always been a protector,” said Martin. “He is very protective of me, and all of his family members.”
An entrepreneur and musician who performs under the name Donn Sway, Christopher founded a mentoring business to help boys who want to play college football assemble their college application materials. He also helped take care of his grandmother “in her final stages of dementia,” and always stood up for his younger brother Tyler, who suffers from schizophrenia, Martin recalled.
On April 15, Christopher’s protectiveness nearly cost him his life after he was shot in the head while trying to defend friends during a “follow-home” robbery — a trend that has terrorized Angelenos since last year.

Be soft on crime and guess what happens
The Democrat Party has embraced anarchy as a bridge to total control over society.
They love an unarmed citizen. Politicians love it because the politicians get “to do something,” and of course the crooks love it because it is good for business.

#2. Don't drive home. Drive to the nearest police station. Its likely the hoods will take off.
Featured Christopher was not followed home. He was at a downtown parking lot at 3 AM.

Might I assume they are criminal gangs imported from Central America across our open borders, specifically for this purpose?
There are a lot of videos of this sort of thing happening in South Africa if you go to youtube. Just search on carjack fail and you’ll see a bunch of them.
It doesn’t work so well in States like my hometown of kentucky. There are just two darn many people that are conceal and open carrying. They prefer doing this in states where handgun ownership is tightly controlled.

I don’t see the problem. California in general, and Los Angeles in particular, have very strict gun control laws, so there’s really nothing the criminals can do once they come home with you. Therefore, this hazard is being overstated.
However, what we really need to do as a nation is make the rest of the country as safe as Los Angelenos are, and, for that matter, as safe as the children in the Uvalde public school system are, what with their total ban on guns inside the schools.
The voters of la la land deserve all the crime.

Having lived in Downtown LA for several years I can attest to the fact that nothing good happens when you hang around in a parking lot at 3am, as well as anybody hanging around in a parking lot at 3am is up to nothing good. It’s the same in every big city.
We are not hearing the whole story. I suspect he is not the altruistic humanist being portrayed here.
