A Virginia jury on Wednesday found Johnny Depp and his former spouse, Amber Heard, both defamed each other, awarding $15 million in damages to the “Rum Diary” star and $2 million to his ex-wife.
Depp had sued Heard for $50 million in damages. In a $100 million counterclaim, Heard accused Depp of damaging her reputation by dubbing her a liar following her allegations of sexual violence against him....."

There is a subtle left1st narrative that will ignore that this is a huge win for Depp, men, and the imbalance in the media, culture, law, etc. You can see it here. A win for both? Really? I am seeing one side up a cool 13 mill.
Which is why The Hill headlined their story in this fashion. Heard got raked over the coals, and the only pittance tossed her direction was from a statement one of Depp’s lawyers made.
In the end, the jury didn’t believe this psychotic bitch. Good for him.

if depps claim of defamation is true, it means she lied about him abusing her.
if she lied about him abusing her, her abuse claim is a hoax.
defamation by definition cannot be the truth.
So she lied which can also be called a hoax. A hoax is a lie told to provoke a response.
If the court found in Depp’s favor it could not logically also find in Heard’s favor. They are opposing verdicts.
What the court did is basically this:

The statement above is false
Its a paradox

It’s only a win for Depp if he can collect.
She’s already damaged his career and cost him more than that.
It is a moral victory, at best.

All-in-all, it seems like a reasonable verdict by the jury. Neither of them are very sympatheticx.
