They expect a gold star for their efforts, and quietly pissed that you aren’t grateful for their expertise.
Tried to read a book “Fire on the Mountain “ but couldn’t get past the first chapter where it was revealed that the fire spread from basic bureaucratic incompetence.. real heroes lost lives because of the actions and inaction of bureaucrat idiots.
100 percent focused eh debbie?
Hope it is a hell of a lot more focused than you were when you started the fires in a gale.
Idiots.
When do they pay?
When I was young, I worked on forest management. We did a lot of thinning and burning.
Standard practice.
But it never got out of control!
Those people are idiots! (Government!)
Forest service is a bunch of paper pushers.
It takes a lot of paper pushing to justify prescribed burn.
So when they get the final approval, they will go for it, even if the weather turns bad.
Simple as that!
“pile burn holdover from January”
So they burned a big pile of wood and didn’t go back to put out the embers? Smokey would disembowel any camper who did that.
It’s the US Fire Service. They’ve caused more Wild fires than Nature at least this summer.
Reminds me of the Gold King Mine spill in Colorado back in 2015,which also affected Northern New Mexico ... Yep, the EPA
“The 2015 Gold King Mine waste water spill was an environmental disaster that began at the Gold King Mine near Silverton, Colorado, when Environmental Protection Agency personnel, along with workers for Environmental Restoration LLC, caused the release of toxic waste water into the Animas River watershed.”
