Yeah, imagine making kids take a test on what they learned through the school year. It's ludicrous.

Regent Scholarships are one of the few left awarded on academic merit, if anything that should be the rule not the exception.

Disagree. I took them. They are a way of establishing a minimum level of proficiency statewide. And you can receive a scholarship based on your performance on the tests. I didn’t use mine because I didn’t attend a school in NY.
